Wren class – Jack and the Beanstalk

We have had a very busy week in Wren class this week. 🙂

We have been learning all about Jack and his beanstalk. We have tried to put the story in the right order, we have discussed the characters and drawn pictures of them. We have also been investigating numbers and shapes. In number we have been focusing on doubling and with our shapes we have bene sorting and naming 2D shapes.

But the best bit of all this week is our outside area…we have been making mud pies and painting our seeds and flowers. We will be watching them grow over the coming weeks and taking care of them as well as learning what happens to them if they get too much water, sun or not enough soil.

If any of you have any large plastic bottles for instrument making (plastic only please as they will be used outside and we are talking o the children about reusing and recycling unwanted items) or any plants for us to have in class we would be very grateful….we promise to take care of them!

Have a lovely weekend.

Mrs Morris
