Sorting, floating, trees and leaves! Just part of a busy week!
We played a sorting game in small groups. It was fun to find the pictures of the animals which fitted the description our teacher called out. (animals which only live in water, animals with feathers, animals which live in hot or cold places…).
Also, we listened to the Hindu creation story. Lord Vishnu asked Brahma to create a world. Bramha appeared from a lotus flower and used the petals for his creation. Using paper we made flowers which opened when they were floated on water. Amazingly the different papers we used opened at different speeds.
We had a lovely dance session in P.E. We thought about how it feels during Autumn, sometimes warm but other times cold. We created a dance, pretending to be a tree that grew and swayed in the wind before becoming one of the leaves, falling off the tree and tumbling and swirling around in the wind, moving high and low as we travelled around the hall.
