CROSS COUNTRY NEEDS YOU!

A Letter has gone home today to inform you that on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th March SASP are hosting there cross-country race at Brymore. At the event, children will run against others of a similar age from other schools, with a focus on participation, enjoyment and lots of dancing to the music!

For those who have not attended before this is a great mass participation event with a focus on “taking part” and representing your school and having a bit of fun whilst running/jogging around the field!  We have music and parents provide a great atmosphere with loads of cheering!

We are going to continue with completing the cross-country event over two nights due to potential loss of light as well as to better accommodate parking and managing the number of runners on the site.  We appreciate that this may inconvenience some parents, but this is to reduce the risk of losing light, the parking requirements and the volume of people on the site at one time.

It would be wonderful to see as many children there as possible. This is an event that St John’s & St Francis have done very well in in the past.

The running order is as follows:

WEDNESDAY 25th:

First race 4:30pm

  • Year 5 Girls
  • Year 5 Boys
  • Year 3 Girls
  • Year 3 Boys

THURSDAY 26th

First race 4:30pm

  • Year 6 Girls
  • Year 6 Boys
  • Year 4 Girls
  • Year 4 Boys

I would like to know who will be attending so I can issue your child with any additional information before the day, as well as provide them with stickers which they will need to wear for the race. If your child will be attending, and has transport provided please fill out the slip below and return to the school office no later than Friday 20th March
